The theory of sets was developed by German mathematician Georg cantor (1845-1918) . He Frist encountered sets while working t "problems on trigonometric series ".

आज इस अवधारणा का उपयोग ज्यामिति, अनुक्रम, संभाव्यता आदि के लिए किया जा रहा है। सेट के ज्ञान की आवश्यकता है 

सेट का सिद्धांत जर्मन गणितज्ञ जॉर्ज कैंटर (1845-1918) द्वारा विकसित किया गया था। उन्होंने पहली बार "त्रिकोणमितीय श्रृंखला पर समस्याओं" पर काम करते समय सेट का सामना किया
